Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal  canal through which the spinal cord passes. The spinal canal can be thought of as a tube that runs from the base of your skull down to your sitting bone, though which your spinal cord passes. Your spinal cord is the main communication highway between your brain and the rest of your body and this communication happens by signals being transported un and down the spinal cord. In order for this to function correctly the cord requires free movement and space so that it is not pinched or impeded.
